Children wait for the day all year to where they can go outside and play on the bounce houses and run through the obstacle course and eat a snow cone. The kids just want to hang out with their friends on the playground and have fun. It’s like a full day of recess. One key to a successful school field day is a variety of interactive options for the kids.
The students want to be free, explore, and run around. They also want fun activities. We suggest a variety of moonwalks, inflatables, and obstacle course. There are many inexpensive things you can add as well. Bounce houses come in so many varieties. Depending on the size of the school, Field day should consist of 1 to 2 regular bounce houses with slides, a large inflatable slide, a large inflatable obstacle course, and a variety of interactive inflatable games. Some fun interactive inflatable games are like our basketball shooting challenge, baseball batting challenge, football toss challenge, large inflatable soccer dart board, or our axe throwing game. If the kids can get slightly wet, there is nothing better than having a foam pit.
You can also look at adding a homemade obstacle course made out of PVC pipe and pool noodles. You can also have a bubble blowing station, hula hoop station, sack races, or other creative games.
School field days in The Woodlands and Houston are hot. Keep the students cool and refreshed.
We all know nothing beats the heat than a refreshing sno cone. Rent a snow cone machine to have fresh snow cones for the entire school. Snow cone machines are a cheap way to reward the students and staff for a great school year and everybody lives them no matter their age.
Rent water slides or slip n slides if you are doing a wet field day. Add a foam pit to complete the day. Nothing will impress the students and have them talking about field day more than a foam pit. Check out our blog about what a foam party is if you haven’t seen one.
Have a cooling station for the kids to run through made out of PVC. Simply drill small holes and hook up a water hose to have the sprinkler drip down on the kids as they run underneath.
