Keys to a successful Super Bowl party

With the Super Bowl just over a week away, Americans are scrambling to prepare for their ultimate Super Bowl party. How does one ensure that they host a memorable Super Bowl party? Here are some key steps that will ease the planning and execution for your Super Bowl party.

1. Prepare as much food as possible the day before. Freeze any food that can easily be reheated in the oven and ready to go. Wow fancy appetizers are always good, simplicity is the key for the Super Bowl party. Stick with easy dip and appetizer recipes that everyone in the crowd will enjoy. My favorite is the Buffalo chicken dip and seven layer dip. Chili and pigs in a blanket are easy to prepare in advance as well.

2. Decorate your home with colors of both teams. Even if you are the number one fan of one of the teams in the big game, you should still have some balloons or colors for the other team. It is part of the fun and some of your guest will be rooting for the other team. Make them feel welcomed by including their team in the decorations.

3. Offer Super Bowl squares for a fee to increase the excitement level around the game. This allows fans that are not into football to be excited as they may be hoping for a big payout. If you’re not sure what Super Bowl squares are, then click here.

4. Have some sort of entertainment other than the football game for the kids. As much as kids enjoy sports, they enjoyed playing with other kids more. Have some sports game set outside for them such as football or baseball. Or rent a bounce house or inflatable interactive game. Not only will this help entertain kids, it will allow the adults to relax and watch the game more closely. Also be sure to have enough chairs for everyone so you may want to look into chair rentals. Interactive games such as the football toss and basketball challenge party rental that we provide are relatively inexpensive and provide a lot of entertainment.

5. Provide more space for your guest by placing an outdoor theater screen or tailgate trailer in your front or backyard. This provides your guests with a completely different viewing area and if the weather is nice the guest will be very thankful to be outside. Plus, nothing beats watching the big game on an 18 foot screen with the outdoor movie screen rental. Or having multiple channels and video game set up’s from the tailgate trailer rental.

Lastly, don’t forget to invite Lone Star Parties. We love to party and there is no better party than a Super Bowl party.
